The National Weather Service in Charleston has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
extreme south central Berkeley County in southeast South
Carolina...
central Charleston County in southeast South Carolina...

* until 945 PM EDT

* at 634 PM EDT... law enforcement officials reported several Road
closures downtown Charleston due to flooding.

The heaviest rain has moved out of the area... however light to

thus roads will remain closed.

* Flash flooding is expected in and around...
Charleston... downtown Charleston... Mount Pleasant... James Island
County park... Fort Johnson... James Island... Fort Sumter... Sullivans

water will stall a vehicle and less than two feet of water can float
and carry away a vehicle. Flooding is the number one weather-related
cause of death in the United States. When encountering flooded roads
make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

To report flooding... contact the National Weather Service in
Charleston toll free at 1-888-383-2024.
