PM EDT for northwestern Washington... northeastern Piscataquis...
Aroostook and northeastern Penobscot counties...
At 607 PM EDT local law enforcement reported flooding across the
warned area. Rapid snowmelt is also occurring and will add to the
flooding.
The Caribou Police Department reported some minor Road flooding on
Washburn street, Powers Road, Thompson Road, and albair Road.
Law enforcement officials reported roads being closed in Central
Aroostook County, such as the Dorsey Road in Fort Fairfield. In
northern Aroostook County Route 162 is reported as being closed one
mile to the south of the Long Lake sporting club in Sinclair.
National weather employees reported flooding of mcburnie Road in
Presque Isle, and water flowing over Washburn street at the
intersection with Meadow Brook in Caribou.
Flooding of smaller streams and culverts is expected to continue in
many areas through this evening.

Presque Isle, Caribou, Houlton, Millinocket, Fort Kent, Madawaska,
Fort Fairfield, Limestone, Van Buren, Patten, Eagle Lake, Danforth,
Mount Katahdin, Portage, Deboullie Mountain, Mapleton, East
Millinocket, Washburn, Mars Hill and Medway.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

The Flood Watch continues for
* portions of east central Maine, far northern Maine, north
central Maine, northern Maine, and west central Maine,
including the following areas, in east central Maine, central
Penobscot and northern Penobscot. In far northern Maine,
northeast Aroostook and Northwest Aroostook. In north central
Maine, central Piscataquis, northern Piscataquis, and southern
Piscataquis. In northern Maine, southeast Aroostook. In west
central Maine, northern Somerset.
* Through Saturday afternoon.
* The combination of additional rainfall of up to one quarter of
an inch early this evening and snowmelt will lead to a
continuation of rises on the major rivers and smaller stream
into the weekend.
* Some smaller streams and Brooks could spill out of their banks
into tonight. Culverts and ditches will fill up with the
potential for some minor flooding of roads.
