... Snow squalls will cross the area early this morning...

At 436 am EST... a snow squall was along a line extending from near
Madawaska to 20 miles southwest of billy-Jack depot... and moving
southeast at 35 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Presque Isle... Caribou... Fort Kent... Madawaska... Fort Fairfield...
Limestone... Van Buren... Greenville... Patten... Eagle Lake... Deboullie
Mountain... ripogenus... Portage... Mount Katahdin... Baxter St park...
Mapleton... Washburn... Mars Hill... Ashland and Easton.

* Winds in excess of 35 mph are possible with this squall.

* Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter mile in
    this squall.

Travel is not advised during this dangerous snow squall. Rapid
visibility reduction and potentially icy roads are likely to lead to
accidents. Consider delaying travel until the squall passes your
location. If traveling pull off to a safe location.

... Snow squalls expected from 4 to 8 am...

Snow squalls are expected to move into far northwest Maine around
4 am, and will move across the area from 4 am until 8 am this
morning as a strong cold front moves across the region. Rapidly
changing conditions with snowfall accumulations up to an inch or
two can be expected. The snow squalls are expected to reach the
Frenchville and Madawaska areas around 5 am, and should reach the
Caribou/Presque Isle areas between 6-7 am this morning.

Be prepared for whiteouts with near zero visibility... creating
extremely dangerous driving conditions.
