until 1000 PM CDT.

Chattanooga Tennessee to 70 miles north northwest of London
Kentucky. For a complete depiction of the watch see the
associated watch outline update (wous64 kwns wou8).

favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally
do produce tornadoes.

Discussion... thunderstorms should continue to increase in coverage
and intensity this afternoon amidst a very moist and unstable air
mass. While vertical shear is somewhat marginal for storm
organization... the degree of instability and high moisture content
will Foster intense up/downdrafts capable of damaging winds and
hail.

Aviation... a few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft
to 1 inch. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots.
A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 550. Mean storm motion
vector 32025.
