The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
north central Reno County in south central Kansas...
eastern Rice County in central Kansas...

* until 445 am CDT

* at 1246 am CDT... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen over areas that have ongoing flooding from previous
days. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lyons... Nickerson... Little River... Geneseo... WillowBrook and
Frederick.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

802 PM CDT Wed may 27 2015

... A Flood Warning for small streams remains in effect until 930 am
CDT Thursday for north central Reno and eastern Rice counties...

At 757 PM CDT... ongoing flooding of several rural roads in vicinity
of the Little Arkansas River... Cow Creek and other small streams
continued in the warned area. The water will be slow to recede due
to very saturated ground soils. More rain is in the forecast for
tonight through Friday which could worsen the flooding problems.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from 7 PM CDT this evening through
Friday evening...

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Kansas and south
central Kansas... including the following areas... in central
Kansas... Barton... Ellsworth... Lincoln... Marion... McPherson...
Rice... Russell and Saline. In south central Kansas... Harper...
Harvey... Kingman... Reno... Sedgwick and Sumner.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Friday evening.

* A couple of rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across
central Kansas for the next couple of days. The first round of
storms will occur this evening... with additional showers and
thunderstorms possible Thursday and Friday. Given saturated
grounds... any additional rainfall will aggravate existing
flooding or result in renewed flooding in the watch area. Runoff
from the rainfall may lead to rapid rises on rivers and
streams.

* Those with outdoor plans or with residences along creeks and
rivers need to monitor the weather situation closely for the
next couple of days.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Remember to turn around... don't drown.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
